All glass conch shells are handmade by Zachary Craycraft using traditional glassblowing methods.

My glass art is handblown from molten glass and shaped using the jacks, wet newspaper, tweezers, shears, and applying glass color that is infused with metal oxides. This piece is made from the inside out, starting with the interior, using multiple layers of glass with close attention to detail.

Some info about me:

I grew up in southern Ohio developing an appreciation for a multitude of art forms that inspired me to be the artist I am today. I was first introduced to glassblowing in 2013 and was always driven to blow glass because of the competitive nature and difficulty of glass as a medium. I would say that my artistic journey is characterized by a spirit of experimentation and exploration.

I am known for my dynamic use of color, texture, and form, often incorporating unique motifs and abstract elements into my works. My creative process is deeply intuitive, guided by a desire to capture the chaotic, yet soothing, nature of glass and the creative act of glassblowing that involves imagination, skill, and inspiration, transforming raw materials or ideas into something new and meaningful.
